Microneedling

Want to know the secret of bright, healthy looking, rejuvenated skin?

Well here it is, Micro-needling also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or, Skin Needling can significantly improve the overall appearance of your skin.  It can restore a more youthful appearance of the skin with a healthy dewy glow. The procedure is suitable for all skin types and helps to improve fine lines and wrinkles, the appearance of sun damaged skin, scars including acne, surgical or ice pick scarring.

After a Micro-needling treatment your skin will begin a natural healing process which involves the regeneration the area(s) treated.

As new college takes approximately 6 weeks to form it can take 6-8 weeks to see the full benefits of the treatment.  However, with the use of carefully selected serums and/or mesotherapy products that can be infused during your procedure you'll likely be able to improve the overall results and see the benefits much soon and they will also last longer.

Most people benefit from a course of three treatments approximately 4-8 weeks apart which allows new collagen to form as well as an increase in elastin stimulation and improved bloody supply and nutrients to the skin providing you with a natural and long lasting enhancement that can last 6-12 months.  Although it is perfectly acceptable to have 1 treatment and see how you go. However, if you are actively looking to improve scars of any kind they will almost always require a minimum of 3 treatments.

Other benefits of this treatment include better  absorption of topical skin care products, improved skin tone and elasticity as well as improved texture.

This treatment is safe to use on nearly all parts of the face and body and works particularly well on the face, décolletage and surgical scars on the body.

Treatments include:

Microdermabrasion

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a method of manual skin exfoliation using a scalpel.  whilst that might sound scary it is actually incredible safe.  The treatment gently  scrapes off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells whilst also removing the 'vellus' (soft, white) hair often referred to as "Peach Fuzz".  Most clients worry they will grow back as 'bristles' however,  this is not the case as the vellus hair is not the same as 'terminal' hair which is darker and courser - more associated with the male beard.

Why Dermaplane..?

Dermaplaning removes the soft, white hair or "peach Fuzz' as well as dead skin cells.  this leaves your skin dewy, super soft and wonderfully smooth.  Dermaplaning is a favourite in the entertainment industry, specifically among models and actresses. Why? because it eliminates that annoying peach fuzz that cakes up makeup which can be enhanced by bright production lighting and high-definition cameras. Dermaplaning also allows for greater penetration of skincare products and creates a flawless canvas for makeup to glide on smoothly. In fact, cosmetic dermatologists often use dermaplaning to help prepare skin for other procedures such as laser treatments and chemical peels.

other benefits include removal of 2-3 weeks of dead skin cells

which smooths skin to reveal a brighter, dewy complexion.

Skincare products can penetrate deeper and be more effective. There is a minor risk of nicks or abrasions from the treatment although these are quite rare.

Who is right for...?

Pretty much anyone can have a dermaplaning treatment with a few exceptions.
