Dermaplaning is a method of manual skin exfoliation using a scalpel. whilst that might sound scary it is actually incredible safe. Pretty much anyone can have a dermaplaning treatment with a few exceptions.

• extensive active acne

• Active infection of any type, such as herpes simplex or flat warts.

• Chemical peel in last 2 weeks

• Active chemotherapy or radiation treatment

• Family history of hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation

• Haemophilia

• Hormonal therapy that produces thick pigmentation

• Blood thinning medications (Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Apixaban, Warfarin)

• Recent use of topical agents such as glycolic acids, alpha-hydroxy acids and Retin-A

• Active Rosacea
