Dermal Fillers
Loss of Volume | Sagging| Jowls
Dermal filler products provide a smooth, long-lasting correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. They can instantly soften tell-tale aging lines or improve your looks by enhancing your natural features. They can restore lost volume, improve skin elasticity, and smooth niggling lines and imperfections. This in turn can give your skin a smoother more youthful appearance.
Dermal fillers can also be used to contour your features, or enhance them, add volume or soften areas of concern like jowls. The results of the treatment can be seen immediately and depending on the type of filler used and the area being treated the results can last as long as 12- 18 months making them very cost effective alternatives to surgery.
Most dermal fillers are a synthetically manufactured
hyaluronic acid (which is also found naturally in our bodies) and is therefore well tolerated and integrates well within our natural tissues. At Aluminate Clinic we have selected a ranges of fillers in order that we can ensure that we completely tailor each treatment to suit each individuals personally desired outcomes.
Will it hurt?
Not generally. I tend to use a cannula (which is blunt and threads gently and safely under the skin) to carry out this treatment. This allows me to sculpt the cheeks you're after. A cannula is a small, flexible, hollow, round ended tube which is why it tends to be more comfortable than a needle and gives a more natural result. There is always the option to have aesthetic numbing cream used on any areas requiring treatment and for lips a 'dental' block can be performed. These are very tiny injections - NOT like those at the dentist and the anaesthetic wears off in approximately 20-30 minutes.
Common areas that can be treated with dermal fillers include;
Cheeks - restore lost volume or enhance your cheekbones
Nasolabial Folds - Nose to mouth lines
Marionettes - Corner of mouth to chin
Lips - Shape and fullness
Smokers/Lipstick lines - Vertical lip lines
Tear Troughs - Loss of volume under the eyes
Chin - define, shape, reshape
Jawline - define, shape, reshape
Temples - replace lost volume and improve hollowing
Brow Lift - lift the tail of the brow to look more awake
Hands - rejuvenate hands, replace lost volume
Neck - Restore your youthful neck
Some of the Dermal Fillers we use included;
MaiLi - by far our favourite with its latest technology that delivers enhanced, natural looking results.
Fillmed, Belotero, Juvederm are other brands we also sometimes use depending on what we are trying to achieve

FAQ's

How do Dermal Fillers work?Dermal fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occurring substance in the body that helps to keep the skin hydrated and plump. As we age we lose volume in the face and hand and dermal fillers work by restoring volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (Nose to mouth line). Dermal fillers are injected directly into the skin, either via a small needle or a cannula (blunt ended straw).
