My
STORY

I established Aluminate Clinic with more than beauty in mind.

I often get asked what motivated me to move into aesthetics.  Well, if the truth be known I'd reached 'that' age (now 50) where I looked in the mirror and didn't always recognised the person starring back at me. My skin had become dull with an uneven tone. I'd developed deep lines and wrinkles between my eyebrows and around my eyes.  I'd reached a point where I felt I needed 'something' doing. but what? I had tried all the creams and beauty products advertised with little effect.  I had wasted so much money searching for something that actually 'does what it says on the tin', as it were.  I'm sure many of you know what I mean..?

So, I decided to look at what the non-surgical cosmetic industry could offer. However, knowing very little about the possibilities and only hearing the horror stories we all see in the news, particularly the celebrity fails.  I felt I needed to know and understand all the options more fully before I could make an informed decision about what I wanted or needed.

After carrying out extensive research my interest was sparked.   So, much so that I decided I'd undertake some basic training myself.  I chose to do this  with a consultant plastic surgeon in his private Harley Street Clinic, practicing on his

clients under his expert tuition and guidance.   I chose this particular course as

they offered an extensive amount of hands on training and their knowledge and experience impressed me.  I loved the experience, learning new skills, testing my anatomy knowledge and perfecting my injection techniques.  The training was so good I soon followed it with their advance training.

I ensure I remain updated with regular, on–going training.  I attend conferences, workshops and regular network meetings to ensure I continue to offer clients honest, safe, effective treatments. I'm also an active member of The Aesthetics Academy, as well as a member of the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN) and Aesthetic Complication Expert (ACE) world Group and Complications in Medical Aesthetics Collaborations (CMAC).  The combination of these help me to stay abreast of current practices and the latest industry developments.  I am a Save Face accredited practitioner as well as being registered with Safety in Beauty. Both of which have carried out extensive checks on myself, my clinical standards and hygiene standards within the clinic. are backed by the Public Standards Authority. I have a background in emergency care working as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) I carried out this role for over 10 years which allowed me to develop wide and varied skills and knowledge including skills in managing and dealing with emergency situations.  Whilst no one ever expects there to be an issue I'd rather know I was in the hands of someone who knew what to do just in case.

Since undertaking my aesthetic training I now understand what options are available to improve my skin and reduce my lines. I very often treat myself, yes I stick needles in myself.  Its' surprising how motivated you can be when you ant to be. Most people are surprised when I tell them this because I don't look 'false' or 'frozen'.  I can honestly say I'm much happier with my reflection and I get more compliments on my skin than I ever had.  All this whilst wearing less make up than I ever done.  Lots of people I come into contact with think I'm between 5 and 10 years younger than I actually am which is amazing and something I want to ensure continues.   Thanks to aesthetics and truly amazing skincare I now feel more confident whilst still looking natural and not 'overdone' or 'overfilled'.  I want to share what I've learned with my clients and help them to achieve their 'happy' or rebuild lost confidence whilst working with your natural features and beauty. There is no need to look 'fake' or 'done'.

Aluminate Clinic is run by me, with all consultations and injectable treatments being carried out by myself. I'm fortunate to have the space at home to have a fully functioning, professional clinic  where I am able to offer flexible appointments including evenings and weekends.  As such, I can offer a flexible, reliable service and deliver a truly unique personable service in clean, comfortable, relaxed surroundings.

I look forward to welcoming you to Aluminate Clinic soon
